Back to School Session with Shainy {Montana, Children's Photographer}

I posted a little sneak peek from this shoot last week, and here are some more images. I have taken

A LOT of photos of Shainy. I started shooting her when she was a baby, and I was in high school. She is quite comfortable in front of the camera. Her older sister, Shayla, has had a couple senior sessions with me over the past month, and Shainy wanted in on the action. Well, I think Shainy was mainly wanting photos like the last five, but I have been wanting to use that desk of Shainy's moms in a shoot for a while, and since Shainy was geared up to start 6th grade the following day, it seemed like the perfect excuse to haul it out to the ranch. (Wow that is one long sentence, obviously I have been out of school for too long. I am leaving it though because that is kind of how my mind works after two big cups of coffee)

I picked the school girlish outfit, Shainy picked the skinny jeans, with a floral tank, and purple cardigan. Shainy's outfit wins. It has a modern but vintage feel, and it is adorable. (Modern and vintage-pretty much complete opposites....ok I am done) Modern with vintage twist is a better description.

My nerdy sister was impressed that I still knew what the Pythagorean theorem was. Not something I have used since probably freshman year of college in the only math class I took in college. One of the many perks of studying photography...one little liberal arts math class is all that was required.

So normally I try to shoot in the evenings for the best light, but these were shot at 8:30 am and the light was beautiful.

Happily Ever After Begins Here {Miles City, MT Wedding Photographer}

Meet Awna and TJ. They were married on August 19th, and they asked me to take some portraits of them before the ceremony. Awna is adorable, and she is a lover of details which is something I can totally relate to. She is also a photographer, and was a natural in front of the camera. TJ loves Awna, and it was obvious that he wanted to make the day perfect for the both of them. Not only are they newlyweds, they are going to be parents. That is one lucky baby who is definitely going to have one cute nursery. Awna has such great taste, and TJ was a big help in bringing Awna's vision to life as he did with the wedding site.

I hope your wedding was everything you dreamed it would be. Congrats on the marriage, and the baby who will be here soon!

Back to school preview

Here is a little sneak peek from the back to school shoot I did yesterday. I am still in Three Forks and since TF starts school today, I thought it was an appropriate post. The full back to school post will come next week! I also have a ton of other great stuff to share. I am trying not to think about all the editing I have to get done next week. I will probably be stuck at my computer until the snow falls, but today, I am cleaning my car, (it needs it so bad-life on the road is tough for my beloved nissan) and enjoying the sunshine.

These photos almost make me wish I was going to school today....almost.

Beautiful Brittney {Miles City, Senior Photographer}

This last week has been CRAZY in a good way. I have had so many shoots, and I have so many more great ones to look forward to this week. There are seniors shoots, family shoots, plus a fun back to school themed shoot, and I will finish out my week and time in Three Forks with a beautiful wedding in Chico. Plus I still have a pre-wedding shoot, engagement shoot, wedding, day after the wedding shoot, and a senior shoot to share.

For now, here are Brittney's senior photos from Tuesday. We did some in my in home studio, but most were done outside in Miles City. She is so gorgeous, and so easy to take photos of. Plus she is incredibly stylish...I LOVE the dress. It is so cute!

Beautiful Baby Grace {Bozeman, MT Newborn Photographer}

Grace: elegance or beauty of form.

This name fits her perfectly. I didn't have to pose her much or move her around, because she always just naturally looked so peaceful, so graceful. I was so excited to finally meet this little one, and after photographing her parents for engagement photos, her brother and family last fall, and her brother again when he turned one this spring, it was finally time to photograph her.

Congrats on your beautiful baby girl Eslinger family. She is perfect, and I look forward to watching her grow.

High School Sweethearts Tie the Knot in Springhill. {Bozeman, MT Wedding Photographer}

I am so excited to share this beautiful wedding with you. This was actually my first wedding booked for 2011, ( roughly 14 months in advance) and so much thought and planning went into this awesome day.

Alex and Trevor are high school sweethearts. I have a soft spot for this type of love story since my parents are high school sweethearts as well. (btw they have been married for 31 years) There is something so special about two people falling in love at a young age, marrying, and living happily ever after. Alex and Trevor have so much love and respect for the each other. They truly are best friends. They show such kindness, and thoughtfulness to everyone they know, and you can't help but adore them and want the best for them.

Alex was a stunning bride, and Trevor was such a handsome groom. Plus...HELLO good looking bridal party and families. However, that wasn't what made this day incredible. Everyone was so accommodating to me, and really kind. I felt so comfortable around everyone, and it is no wonder Alex and Trevor are the way they are-their families are so kind, and fun to be around.

Congrats on your marriage Alex and Trevor! You two were so wonderful to work with, and I am so grateful that you asked me to be part of your wedding. It was BEAUTIFUL.
