Holiday Family Cheer {Three Forks, MT Photographer}

So this will be my LAST post of 2010!  I can not tell you how excited I am for the new year.  2011 weddings are being booked, sessions are being scheduled, and seniors are starting to think about their graduation announcements.  I for one have already begun the countdown to Spring.  (I know- I know...we have a lot of winter to go)

Speaking of winter, check out this beautiful family that I shot last week in my home town of Three Forks.  It was only about 25 degrees outside which is actually quite warm compared to today's sub zero temperature.  The original plan was for me to take some family photos of the Malmquists.  Well once the other families in this family heard the plan, they wanted in on the action as well!  We basically fit four family sessions into one and it actually went incredibly smoothly.  Plus the frost and the snow mixed with Jim and Diane's beautiful landscaping made for a perfect setting.

Thanks for letting me be part of your holiday fun!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a very happy new year!

Soon to be new mommy Tana {Bozeman, MT Maternity Photographer}

I first met Tana a couple years ago when she asked me to shoot her wedding.  It often happens that after the wedding is said and done, the happy couple and I stay in contact.  It may be as friends, through continued photo shoots, or both.  Tana and Jaime fit into the both category!  Nothing makes me happier then having clients who continue to ask me to photograph their special happenings.  I actually kind of insisted that Tana let me shoot some maternity shots as a trade for all the business she has drummed up for me over the past couple of years.  I have had so many brides contact me after talking to Tana, and I can not thank her enough for that.

So a couple of weeks ago, we braved the cold, and took some maternity photos.  Tana is such a gorgeous expectant mother.  She told me during the shoot that she wasn't one of those glowing pregnant women, and I strongly disagree.  She looks fantastic!  Congrats too you and your hubby Tana.  I cannot wait to meet the little man.

The above and below are my favorites!

It's that time of year!

December is always such a busy month.  I have been slacking big time with my blogging, but to be honest, it's the time of year when family, fun, shopping, and print orders take precedence.  I promise that I have some fun stuff to share with you once I get all caught up on editing.  However, it won't be until after this weekend.

My husband and I are heading to Three Forks to spend Christmas with my parents, sister, grandparents, cousins, and friends.  It is the one time of the year when we are all together, and I always look forward to it.  It is also my first Christmas as a married woman! :)  I am really looking forward to spending some quality time with my husband.  Our work schedules get a little crazy sometimes so it will be nice to have a few days away.   I do have one last shoot scheduled for the year on December 23rd, and I am really looking forward to it.  They are family friends which is always fun, plus Lisa's parents and sisters' families will be joining us.  PLUS, Ryan, Lisa and Daryl's son will be home from the air force so I have a feeling everyone will be in the best of spirits.  Like I said, I am really looking forward to it!

I also slacked when it came to getting our Christmas cards done.  I actually feel a little bad about it even though I had no plans of doing cards this year.  (I was burnt out after Thanks Yous)  BUT, if I would have done a card-this is what it would have looked like.  I think it counts for something that I at least did one for the blog :)  I am thinking that since I am always busy doing Christmas cards for other people during December, that maybe I will do something different and do Valentine's day cards.  I think it would be cute and unexpected.

I do want to take a quick second and thank all my wonderful clients from 2010.  It was such a wonderful year for Whitney Lin Photography.  My business is growing, and I feel truly blessed to be doing what I love.  I have some of the most amazing clients, and I know that many will be lifelong friends.  I hope you all have an amazing holiday!  I look forward to all the new clients I will have the chance to shoot in 2011!
I must also thank my wonderful husband for being so supportive of my business.  He truly believes in me, and really has pushed me to become better.  Thanks for being my partner babe.

Happy Holidays to all my blog readers!  May your days be merry and bright!
