Surrounded by Love {Butte, MT Wedding Photographer}

Justin and Shannon are an amazing couple.  They are so kind, they made me feel so welcome, their families are wonderful, and they really understand the value of photographs.  They made their bride and groom portraits a priority and it really paid off.  They ended up with tons of portraits in all kinds of locations because they gave me plenty of time with just the two of them.  They opted for a first look which always results in more bride/groom portraits because there is just more time to get them in.

This was my first Butte wedding.  Well actually the wedding took place in Anaconda, but they are both from Butte so I'm calling it a Butte wedding.  I was blown away by the love and support Justin and Shannon were shown on their big day.  Extra chairs had to be brought out right before the ceremony to seat all the guests, their families were involved in the readings at the ceremony, as well as the music. A lot of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were family members and the ones that weren't technically family still seemed like part of Justin and Shannon's family.  Aunts also took care of the cake and flowers.  Their families were so involved, and I think that says a lot about the type of people they are.

Justin and Shannon, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your day.  You two truly deserve the best, and I wish you many many years of happiness together.

There is something so special about a first look!

Such a beautiful couple!

All of the above photos were taken at the Hickory House Inn which is a bed and breakfast in Anaconda. The girls got ready there and it is where Shannon and Justin spent their first night as husband and wife.  It was sooo cute and gave us some great photo ops!

I love the above and below photo.  They really ended up with a great variety of portraits.

Shannon's father made the beautiful archway.

Wyatt is ONE {Bozeman, MT Family Photographer}

I've said this before, and I will say it again, I LOVE returning clients.  It is such a huge compliment when clients choose me again as their photographer.  It means I did something right, and I am always so grateful to have such awesome clients.

The Eslinger family is no exception.  I have been lucky enough to shoot their engagement photos, family photos, and now Wyatt's 1 year photos.  I will also be shooting their wedding in May, as well as their brand new baby girl when she arrives in August.  I can not tell you how awesome that is for me!

Wyatt is a busy little guy, but I loved chasing him around the park until he had us both worn out.  He is such a handsome little guy.  He took a few tumbles, but he was always right back in explorer mode within seconds.   He was a trooper even though he missed his nap, and had allergies.  Nothing a little banana split can't fix.  Thanks Shari and Dan for letting me spend an evening with your family.  He is a very lucky boy, and I can't wait to meet your baby girl a few short weeks.

So happy together {Miles City, MT Engagement Photographer}

I have really been loving shooting engagement session over the past month and the main reason is because I have so many awesome couples getting married this year.  I could seriously not ask for better couples.  Matt and Cassandra are no exception, and I am so grateful that they are returning clients.  (I shot family photos for them last year)

These two are perfect together, and I had such a great time running around Miles City shooting their session.  Cassandra could not be an nicer, and she is so dang photogenic.  Matt keeps things light, and is constantly making Cassandra smile.  I love the way these two interact together.  They are pros, and it makes me so excited to shoot their wedding.  Thanks you two for an awesome evening!

The above and below photos are my favorites.  I love that old brick in black and white.

Here Comes the Sun {Miles City, MT Engagement Photographer}

It has been a crazy couple of weeks.  I have a ton of weddings in August and September, and a lot of those couples waited until the weather got nice to do their engagement photos.  I LOVE spring engagement shoots so this was great for me.  As of last night, I am completely caught up on engagement shoots.  I still have a lot of post production to do, but it is getting done at a pretty good speed.  I am determined to not allow myself to get behind on editing this summer, and so far so good.

Anyways, meet Brooks and Brooke.  How awesome are their names?  Even more awesome were the locations they took me to.  Brooke wanted to use her family's ranch as the primary location for the shoot, and from the moment she suggested it, I was thrilled.  I love shooting at ranches.  I also love shooting at places I've never been to before.  It forces me to be creative on the spot, and for some reason, I like that kind of pressure.

These two would have rocked any location though.  They are such a beautiful couple, and they are both so kind.  I instantly felt comfortable with them, and I am so blessed that this job introduces me to so many great people.  I've said it before, but I love that I get to photograph LOVE, and these two are full of it!  Hmmm can you be full of love?  I don't know but I'm going with it.

The above and below photos are faves.  I have a thing for awesome trees!
