Baby Mason {Miles City, Montana Newborn Photographer}

Baby Mason was just two weeks old when I photographed him last week.  He was such a good and easy baby to photograph.  He was content to spend most of the shoot sleeping, but he did wake up just before we were finished, and I was able to get some shots of him wide awake.  Later that day we met up for some family photos, and it was a beautiful evening.  I am pretty picky about light when I can be, so I try to schedule shoots for later in the day.  It was worth breaking this shoot into two sections, because we had perfect golden light, and I love Mason's first family photos.

Congrats Catherine, and Kevin on little Mason!  He is perfect!  Enjoy your sneak peek.

Small Town Sweethearts {Three Forks, MT Wedding Photographer}

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to travel back to Three Forks and shoot this local couple's wedding.  I have known Megan since elementary school, and Brian went to school just down the road from Three Forks in Willow Creek.  It was a beautiful backyard wedding, and everyone knew everyone.  They actually had set up more chairs for the ceremony because so many people were in attendance to witness the happy couple exchange vows.  I think that says a lot about how loved these two are.
  I have had the pleasure of spending some time with this couple, and from very early on, it was clear that these two were meant for each other.  They make each other so happy.  Megan has an infectious laugh that makes everyone around her happy that she found someone that brings it out so often.  I could not be happier for the two of them, and know that they will have a very long happy life together.  Congrats again you two, and enjoy your sneak peek!

Farmer Folkvord {Montana Lifestyle Photographer}

This shoot actually came about in a completely random way, and I am so happy that it all worked out!  I had a wedding to shoot in my hometown of Three Forks, and had come down a few days early to spend time with family and friends.  While visiting my friend, Hillary, her dad, Dean, asked if I would be available to take some photos of him for a magazine article.  He gave me the photo editor's email address and within a day, it all came together.  We didn't have an evening we could make work so we decided on about 6:15 in the morning.  I am not a morning person, but that light was enough to make me one for at least a day.  The location was already set for Wheat Montana Farms, and although I don't routinely shoot farmers, Dean was quite natural in front of the camera.

The exciting part is that one of the photos will be in Progressive Farmer along with the article featuring Dean Folkvord.  I am actually somewhat familiar with Progressive Farmer as my husband is a subscriber,  but it will be me anxiously flipping through the pages when the September issue comes out.  Thanks Dean for putting a good word in for me, and getting me this gig!

 If I was the one choosing the photo, I would probably choose the below photo to use.  I actually like that I am not the one who gets to decide.  It will be fun to see what they go with.

Love Under the Sun {Miles City, MT Wedding Photographer}

This sneak peek comes from a wedding shot at the Town and Country Club in Miles City a couple of weeks ago.  It was a perfect sunny day, and they were married surrounded by their friends and family.  Not only are Bryce and Alexis a great couple who are very kind and wonderful to be around, but their families are the same the way.  There was not any major stress or drama on the day of their wedding, just love, and excitement for the happy couple.  Although I had never met Bryce prior to their wedding day, it was easy to see that he was marrying his best friend.  I wish you two the best, and hope you had a wonderful honeymoon!

 I talked these two into a few more portraits after the cake cutting to take advantage of the golden light, and I am so glad that they went along with it!  What a beautiful couple!
