If I made a list of all the reasons why I love weddings the list would go on and on and on. Seriously. It would. I don't sleep well the night before a wedding- I'm just way too excited. The morning of the wedding, I have butterflies. Not the nervous dreading kind-the can't wait to be part of the biggest day of someone's life kind. It is a big deal, and every time I book a wedding, I feel so grateful and honored.
Booking Layne and Erin's wedding made me feel especially grateful because they booked me last summer before I had even shot a Miles City wedding. They had enough faith in what they saw on my blog and website to trust me on such an important day. Sure I had shot numerous weddings in the Bozeman area, but I was brand new to their area. I feel so blessed to have been welcomed into the Miles City community in so many ways, and this wedding was a big welcome.
Onto the wedding itself. Well first off, Erin is STUNNING. I kept snapping photos of her getting ready and thinking to myself, "she doesn't even have make-up on yet, and she looks flawless." Layne was so excited and ready to be married that he updated his Facebook status to married the night before. Their families were amazingly supportive and just plain thrilled for the two of them, and their friends surrounded them with well wishes and love. So much planning and work went into the day, and it really paid off. The day was perfect. Layne and Erin wanted to nothing more than to be married. Having it all go perfectly was just an added bonus.
I say this a lot but, if you decide to do a first look you will end up with more bride and groom portraits. There is just more time that way. Plus, it usually seems to help with some of the nerves.
The below photo is my FAVORITE.
.... and they lived happily ever after
